Mohave Desert
This painting is inspired by my early years living in Glendale, California, when money was tight and adventure was simple. Working as a seamstress at Grosh Scenic Studios, our favorite escape was hopping into our 1973 El Camino before dawn and driving out to the Mojave Desert. There, with the sun rising over the vast, open landscape, we found peace, beauty, and freedom. This piece is a tribute to those quiet desert mornings and the joy found in life’s simplest moments.
