This piece, titled “Watchfulness”, reflects P. Forbes’ impressionist approach to Owl, Wisdom, Silent Flight, Keen Vision, Night Creatures. I painted the owl during a quiet season—one of those moments when life felt noisy on the surface, yet something deeper was asking me to slow down and see. The owl came to me not as a symbol of mystery, but of serenity. Owls don’t force clarity. They wait for it. They see through darkness without rushing to explain it. This painting is about clarity in confusion—the kind that doesn’t come from answers, but from awareness. The owl represents the ability to notice what others overlook: subtle truths, quiet signals, the wisdom that lives beneath distraction and fear. In a world that rewards speed and certainty, the owl reminds me that insight often arrives softly. That stillness can be powerful. That seeing clearly doesn’t always mean seeing more—sometimes it means seeing deeper. I painted this owl as a guardian of calm perception, an invitation to trust your inner vision when the path feels unclear. Each open edition Giclée print is matted and prepared in two standard sizes.
