Pathfinder’s Gaze grew out of my attention to color, light, and the quiet in-between moments that invite you to pause and really look.
This wolf portrait reflects an impressionist approach shaped by intuition and relationship rather than narrative. The gaze carries a sense of lineage—something steady and watchful—its story held quietly rather than told.
Like most of my work, this piece began with broad paint strokes that set the overall impression. I built it gradually in layered acrylic, stepping back often to notice how the colors were speaking to one another. What remained felt balanced rather than resolved—structure held lightly, with room to breathe.
