Art as a personal journal

I use a canvas and brush to journal each day. The painting might start with dark undertones, but when I finish, it’s a colorful vision of hope. Every piece I create carries something personal.

  1. Mountains — These always show up when I’m facing something challenging. But by the time I’m done, they’ve become symbols of strength. It’s like saying, yes, this was hard, but look — I made it through.
  2. Oceans — They remind me there’s always more. More to discover, more to feel, more to become. The possibilities are endless. And that helps me breathe.
  3. Deserts — At first glance, they seem empty. But when I paint them, I find so much quiet beauty. They’re reminders that peace can live in unexpected places.
  4. Rivers — These are my in-between moments. Transitions. Movement. Change. A painting with a river usually means I’m figuring something out or headed somewhere new.

This isn’t just art for me. It is a visual diary of my life’s journey
